Case Study
All eyes on GYG
All eyes were on Guzman Y Gomez. With GYG’s IPO underway and investor scrutiny at an all-time high, the company faced a defining moment, and a demanding timeline. Their Inaugural Annual Report, due just two months post-IPO, needed to extend GYG’s vibrant retail brand into a confident, investor-facing identity that reflected the ambition of their business strategy.
The challenge was clear: the 2024 Annual Report would play a crucial role in communicating GYG’s market position, growth strategy and commitment to sustainability to an entirely new audience. It had to introduce GYG to the institutional world without losing the energy and authenticity that had built the brand in the first place. With Collier Creative meticulously managing the production process end-to-end, every decision – from strategy to design and typesetting – was seamlessly managed.
By thoughtfully adapting the retail identity for investors, the final report struck a careful balance between authenticity and credibility. It reinforced the personality that makes GYG distinctive, while clearly articulating the investment case, operational rigour and long-term strategy expected of a newly listed business. The result was a document that looked and read like GYG - just ready for the boardroom.
More than a reporting exercise, the project helped position GYG as a high-growth, values-driven business ready for the next stage of its journey, proving that even under the pressure of a post-IPO timeline, a brand can evolve without losing what makes it unique.
We took an overtly retail brand and transitioned it into a more corporate expression – understanding how to nuance GYG’s existing brand guidelines and elements into a mature, considered look and feel fit for an institutional audience.

The outcome was a compelling, well-structured report that reflected the company’s trajectory and created cohesion across stakeholder messaging at a pivotal moment.
